About
Vitovska Grganja is one of the most characteristic grape varieties of the Karst and is naturally well adapted to the region. It grows in limestone soils under dry, windy conditions, allowing the grapes to retain balance and making them particularly suitable for longer maceration.
Skin-contact white winemaking has a long tradition in the Karst. Local growers historically fermented white grapes on the skins to produce wines with greater stability and aging potential.
In the glass, Vitovska ranges from deep gold to amber in color. Aromas include dried citrus, chamomile, Mediterranean herbs and delicate oxidative notes. The palate is structured and mineral, with fresh acidity and a slightly saline finish.
It pairs well with aged cheeses, mushrooms, seafood and dishes with richer texture.
